Cheap Wedding Gifts

Money doesn’t grow on trees,let’s face it .All of us aren’t made out of money. There is no such thing as a money tree. Enough clichés for you? I hope so because I don’t have any more. The point is that sometimes we want to give a wedding gift but don’t have any or much money. We need to give a great wedding gift that is also a cheap wedding gift.

There are gifts out there which are nice but still cheap. If you are artistic, you are certainly ahead of the game. If the couple is just starting married life, they will need everything including home accessories. If you can paint, you can give them a gift that they will love and honor for a lifetime. Landscapes are always popular and fairly easy to paint. You might paint a landscape of their honeymoon spot. That would be truly special.

A potrait of the couple as engaged drawn by you , if you can draw, would be loved by them.Through the years this drawing will remind them of how young and happy they were. If you are crafty, you might frame the drawing for them. If not they won’t have any problem spending the money for a good framing.

There are plenty of gifts which can be made economically by you if you are more crafty than artistic .If you are into folk art and so is the happy couple, you could make them a 'Welcome to our Happy Home' sign to put outside their new home. They will be thrilled. If you are a quilter, you can make them a small quilted throw to put on a sofa or chair. You can use scraps you already have in your sewing room and the gift will cost next to nothing but your time.

Ingenuity will have to be used if you are neither crafty nor artistic. If the new couple is moving into a new home, give them a card with a coupon inside saying, 'as soon as you move in, I am going to plant some flowers for you in honor of your marriage.' Who wouldn’t love flowers? The flowers cost very little and again, your time is cheap.

You must be having plenty of candid shots of the couple if they have been your friends for a long time. You could buy a cheap scrapbook kit and give them the gift of a memory. Your scrapbook will depict their courtship and their friends. You may even start the bride on the road to scrapbooking herself. You never know.

Cheap but perfect wedding gifts can be designed by you, if you can sew. If the couple needs curtains, offer to make them as a wedding gift. Ask the bride what colors she would like and the style she would choose. The most important thing to remember is to make curtains that the bride will like. Forget your own taste. After the curtains are finished, hang them also. Your friend will love you.

Designing and making your own gifts is a gift of love.You are giving a part of yourself along with the cheap wedding gift. The couple will always remember you and your gift.
